Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk - Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details - Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks, such as restraining animals during examinations or procedures - Provide basic information to clients about common pet care topics, such as vaccinations, flea control, and nutrition - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room - Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of basic pet care practices and terminology - Proficient computer skills for managing client records and scheduling appointments on Avimark Please note that dog training or pet grooming experience is not required for this position.
However, if you have experience in these areas, it may be considered an asset.
